Forgettance: A New Home

I hope we’ll be doing some fun things here.

Most of these current posts are placeholders, but I have ideas coming along that need a home, a place where I could actually build a portfolio of work, whether or not I decide to publish in a (more) traditional fashion.

I have three manuscripts that sit printed out one or the other of my desks or shelves, one of them (the only nonfiction one) far from complete. The other two are at least ‘finished’ in that they have an ending. Completed? Don’t make me laugh.

I’ve won NaNoWriMo the past two years in a row, and am sitting on two ideas that are burning holes through my creative pockets, waiting to get out and see the world. But for better or worse, I also have this web page, this podcast, this dog:

…and a day job, among other things.

I’d like to have a place where all of this other stuff can reside, be part of their own series. But what if I decide to publish one or the other of those NaNo manuscripts? What life would they live on the interwebs? Would I take them down? Leave teasers for every chapter?

That’s pretty irrelevant at this point. I will be heavily editing/excising the 2015 NNWM project, and will eventually get to 2016. The nonfiction stack of paper is something I feel is safe to say will never see the light of day, at least not as anything published by any traditional means.

So that’s that, for now. These are all placeholders, and once I get a few things sorted out in my head, this place will begin to be populated with its own ideas, as they come to me, they will come to life here, so welcome to Forgettance.
